What People Are Saying

“These are simply the best and most versatile briquette style logs available. I use them to smoke my meat and regulate the heat in my offset braai. The coals generate good heat for cooking steak. Then, when the cooking is done, it's time for a good warm and cozy fire 🔥”

— Marque B

I have been using these in my offset smoker and tried them on Sausages, Chicken, Lamb Roast and Scotch Fillet. Taste is amazing . I will not be using charcoal again.

— Simon M

“Awesome briquettes!! Can be used as kindling to start a fire broken into small biscuits or whole as slow burning logs giving off plenty of heat. Used them on my charcoal grill brazier. Great for cooking and heating with, no odour, no mess. Ordered them on line the night before and arrived at my door the next day. End to end extraordinary product and service.”

— Tony S

“We have been using briquettes in our wood burner for a couple of weeks now and amazed at the burn time of the logs.”

— P. Auckland

Why briquettes?

Every year tons of sawdust finds its way into landfills around our country. Why, because we bury it as we have no real use for the sawdust produced from cutting timber, that is until now!

This is where our story truly begins, as we knew that sawdust from natural timber burns well in a fire, very well in fact. So, we saw the opportunity to divert as much sawdust as we can away from landfill, repurposing it for use in fires. In a way, we see it as completing the ecological circle for timber by repurposing the sawdust for meaningful use.

All the sawdust we use to make Briquettes is sourced only from untreated timber sawdust. This means that the timber hasn’t been chemically treated in any way. As a precaution we periodically have sawdust samples independently tested to ensure they don’t contain any chemical preservatives and remain fit for our purpose.

Are they any good?

How many briquettes do I need for a good fire?

This is very much a personal choice as the more logs you burn at once, the more heat you generate. That said, for a good heat we normally use 3-4 logs for good heat and a long-lasting fire.
